MEET KELLY KOLAR

Intersection of People and Place

Kelly Kolar and Mike Sipple, Jr. are kindred spirits. They see the unique opportunities leaders have to fully embrace and engage talent from each and every angle of people, process, and place. Kelly is a world-renowned culture builder who creates impactful, branded experiences. She is a creative officer and placemaker who is sought after by some of the most vibrant brands and organizations seeking to align people and place with culture. Look around the midwest, the US, and the world, and you just might be experiencing her work in corporate offices, hospital systems, universities, or airports.

Kelly adds a dimension that most organizations forget about -- experience and place. She helps leaders to think through how their culture, core values, and brand identity shows up in the space their people see and experience every day! Thanks to Kelly’s passion, expertise, and being ahead of the curve, Talent Magnet Institute is able to make an even stronger impact on the future of the world’s leaders.

Kelly is also the president, founder, and chief creative officer at Kolar Design and Founder of the Kolar Experience Institute. Her clients have included Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, MercyHealth, Carnegie Melon University, The Ohio State University, Washington University, Cincinnati Parks, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, where she has served as an adjunct professor. She has lectured nationally and internationally and her work has been reviewed in Print, Metropolis, Publish, the AIGA Annual, and Print Casebook. The firm’s work is included in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.

Kelly has served on the board of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) as well as the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. She was awarded the 2015 Women’s Business Enterprise Star Award. She currently serves as a trustee at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center and on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati Arts & Technology Center, Downtown Cincinnati, Inc., and Cincinnati Board of Visitors.
